GLOBOCAN 2000 software allows simple manipulation of data into a variety of tables, graphs, charts, or maps that can be easily exported or printed. The user can extract numbers of incident or prevalent cases and deaths, or the corresponding incidence and mortality rates for five age groups. Cancers and countries can be grouped together and compared as desired. GLOBOCAN 2000 allows estimation of future cancer burden using user-specified trends and population figures that are included in the package. In addition, the software license allows free download of updates of its database from www-dep.iarc.fr/globocan/download.htm. aSystem requirements : A PC running Microsoft Microwindows95/98/NT/2000 ; Pentium recommended ; 64 MB of RAM recommended ; 10 MB hard-disk space required ; CD-ROM drive. 0aCancerxReporting 0aCancerxMortality1 aFerlay, J.1 aBray, F.1 aPisani, P1 aParkin, D.
